Se compune dintr-o varietate de alimente, incluzand aici atat felurile de mancare principale, cat si garniturile (side dishes-urile), consumul de alimente cu alcool fiind o practica raspandita in Coreea, in special atunci cand in discutie intra si Soju.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Origini<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De la carnea de pui prajit care a aparut la inceputul anilor 1960 si pana la puiul picant, care a fost adaptat pentru a satisface gusturile coreene, Coreea a importat si a dezvoltat o varietate tot mai mare de feluri de mancare din carne de pui. In acelasi timp, puiul a devenit mai popular iar berea care a aparut in anii 1970 i-a calcat, de asemenea, pe urme si, in cele din urma, a devenit o obisnuinta combinarea celor doua intr-un singur meniu. Mai mult decat atat, Cupa Mondiala Coreea-Japonia din 2002 a declansat senzatia Chimaek-ului. Totodata, acesta a avut un impact semnificativ asupra culturii de consum coreeane, mai arata sursa citata.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In afara Coreei <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chimaek este, de asemenea, popular in China datorita influentei dramei \u201cMy love from the stars\u201d, in care eroina Cheon Song-i, a spus: \u201cO zi cu zapada este perfecta pentru timpul nostru de Chimaek\u2026\u201d \u2013 fraza ce a declansat debutul acestui fenomen. Ca o curiozitate, magazine centrate pe specialitati din pui au fost mai numeroase in China decat in Coreea. In zilele noastre, Coreea incearca sa renasca ca o capital a Chimaek-ului. In orasul Daegu, spre exemplu, un festival al Chimaek-ului a avut loc in anul 2012.
